I’m Val – the owner of Midpoint Rec! My husband and I (and our fur baby Russo) dove in headfirst to all things Clermont when we bought a 100-year-old historic home here in 2021. We saw the potential and sacrificed a lot to put down roots in this community – blood, sweat, tears, and everything in our savings basically. 

Our home’s restoration process took a year and a half and in that time, we learned that it used to be an inn. Not just any inn – the Old Bicycle Inn. We took that as our first hint we were on to something with Midpoint Rec.

When we finally moved in, we fell in love with the downtown lifestyle in Clermont. Daily walks along the waterfront, great food, vibrant events, and an even better community of business owners and residents who became our neighbors. We know their names and they know ours. Especially our pup, Russo (he’s a regular at all the businesses with free treats.)

From there, starting Midpoint Rec became a no-brainer. We’re here to deposit a little joy, help you make good memories, and give you a taste of the lifestyle we’ve come to love.
