Lake Minneola Shoreline: One of our favorite routes is east on the South Lake Trail—hop off at Main Ave. and follow the BLUE route to stay along the water. Lakeshore Dr. has no bike path, but is a quiet scenic road. Turn around where it ends at 561A. This route takes under 1.25 hrs, so stop in town along the way to explore.
Back & Forth Through Town: Head west on the South Lake Trail to Hiawatha Preserve which is at the roundabout. It features a shaded playground, disc golf course, and dog park. Loop back and go to Waterfront Park & Splash Pad on the lake’s east shore. This kid-friendly out-and-back route takes 40 min nonstop and stays on the bike trail to explore Clermont. We recommend pausing to relax, play, or stroll the downtown shops.
Biking & Golf? Why Not: Go east on the South Lake Trail and take the Hancock Extension south to Clermont National—a Topgolf-style range and restaurant with the best city views. It’s a perfect spot for brunch or lunch before the ride back. An e-bike can get you there in under 25 min; 35–40 min by regular bike. Expect a few hills along the way.
Two Charming Towns, One Route: Make it a half-day or full-day adventure by exploring both Downtown Clermont and Winter Garden. The South Lake Trail connects to the West Orange Trail, leading straight into the heart of Winter Garden. On an e-bike, it’s about 45–55 minutes each way; around 1.5 hours on a regular bike. Expect some challenging hills along the route if you’re not on an e-bike.
Stick Around Downtown: For a scenic and leisurely paddling experience, launch from Victory Pointe and explore the lake’s shoreline in either direction. Head West (left) and you’ll wind up near the Hiawatha Preserve with it’s gorgeous Cyprus tree grove. Go right (east) and you could head all the way to Waterfront Park to enjoy the sandy beachfront there. You’ll pass Salt Shack on the way and could pull in for a waterside drink or meal. Just be sure to bring your paddle craft all the way up on the shore to dock it.
Peaceful & Wild Florida: Grab one of our foldable or inflatable paddlecraft and head to Crooked River Preserve for a tranquil, nature-filled ride. This scenic launch gives you access to the winding waterway between Lake Louisa and Lake Susan—lined with towering cypress trees, lush vegetation, and plenty of local wildlife. The whole route has a calm, almost mystical vibe we love. Swimming isn’t recommended here, and while you may spot a gator, rest assured—you’re perfectly safe on your paddlecraft. 🐊✨
